Jetro Web First Ever Sprint 2
Sept. 9, 2026
During Jeff’s time in Liberia, JetroWeb held its first-ever sprint, marking an important milestone in the cooperative’s development. The sprint provided an opportunity for the team to work together in a more structured way, reflect on our progress, and engage in meaningful discussions about the future direction of the Co-op.
Throughout the sprint, we made several important decisions and discussed a range of topics related to our work, operations, and future plans. The experience gave team members an opportunity to contribute their perspectives and strengthened our collaborative approach to decision-making.
One of the key outcomes of these discussions was our plan to host the next System Teach-In in April 2027. Beyond sharing technical knowledge, we want the Teach-In to introduce more people to the principles of the solidarity economy and encourage greater participation in cooperative and community-centered economic practices. We see the event as an opportunity to bring people together around technology, collaboration, shared learning, and alternative approaches to building a more inclusive economy.
JetroWeb also had the opportunity to support a local clinic through a donation organized by Not Just Tourist.Jeff had brought the supplies with him to Liberia and was particularly excited about the opportunity to put them to use in support of a clinic.
Since the clinic was only a few minutes’ walk from our office, we decided to make the donation one afternoon. Rather than making elaborate arrangements, we simply gathered the supplies and walked over to the clinic together, where we presented the donation.
The visit was a simple but meaningful experience for the team. It provided an opportunity to contribute directly to a local healthcare facility while putting the principles of community support and solidarity into practice.
